Soccer Conditioning: Warm-up
The true soccer athlete will prepare the body before a game with a good warm-up.
A warm-up should begin about 30 minutes before competition, with muscle massage in cold weather, then light jogging to slowly increase cardiovascular activity. It is not a bad idea to then begin ballistic stretching of muscles in your warm-up, and then move to skill practice with the soccer ball; then to soccer drills with the entire dream. A soccer warm-up is important to physically and mentally become “match ready.”
